"The Tree dreams. We create."
At the heart of the Elderwilds stands a colossal ancient tree whose roots stretch beneath forests, marshes, and mountains alike. Within its vast hollow trunk, the fae have made their home, carving winding corridors, workshops, and hidden chambers into the living wood.
Over countless generations, the Tree has become a living archive of fae creativity. Drawings pinned to bark, jewelry hung from roots, bone-carved words, forgotten curiosities, and strange experiments fill its halls. Nothing is ever truly discarded beneath the Hollow Tree. Every creation, no matter how small, becomes part of its story.
Its branches are draped with lanterns, ribbons, bells, and strands of glowing faelight that sway among the leaves like stars caught within the canopy. Travelers often mistake it for a sacred shrine. The fae know it as something more—a place of gathering, inspiration, and home.
Some even whisper that deep beneath the roots sleeps an ancient being known as the Dreaming One. Whether god, spirit, or something older still, none can say. The fae believe that every act of creation carries a spark of its endless dream.
