Deep within the Gloamwood, where moss overtakes forgotten shrines and the forest quietly reclaims all things, the Gravewing hangs in silent vigil.

These small hollow-boned spirits are said to gather where grief, fear, and sorrow linger too long. Rather than feeding upon flesh, they consume burdens carried within the heart—drawing in stagnant energies before carrying them into the Elderwilds, where they are transformed into something new.

When a Gravewing's earthly form finally falls, the forest does not bury it.

Instead, it is preserved within a reliquary of living moss, quartz, salt, and glass, allowing its spirit to continue its quiet work long after death. Even in stillness, the Gravewing remains a guardian.

Resting beneath its wings are hand-mined salt and quartz crystals. Helping to channel in order to bring clarity, steady wandering thoughts, and encourage inner peace. Beside them rests natural salt, an ancient symbol of purification and protection, said to absorb lingering negativity and prevent harmful energies from taking root.

Some claim that on quiet evenings the lantern sways without wind, its tiny occupant stirring as another unseen burden is carried away into the darkness beyond the trees.
