Veilwings are small, ghostly moths and butterflies native to the Gloamwood. Most often appearing in places where the boundary between the waking world and the spirit realm has begun to weaken.

During the day, their wings are pale and easily overlooked. But beneath darkness they awaken with an eerie blue-green glow, becoming brightest when they draw near a tear in the Veil. A lone Veilwing is considered little more than a curiosity. A gathering of them, however, is a warning.

Keepers once followed their glow through the Gloamwood to locate fractures before wandering spirits or something worse could pass through. Because of this, Veilwings are neither feared nor considered omens of death. They are watchers of the boundary, drawn instinctively toward places where two worlds have begun to touch.
And, when the forest suddenly fills with their light, wise travelers know not to follow them too far.

This one-of-a-kind wall reliquary preserves the likeness of a Veilwing against a deep, otherworldly backdrop of teal, gold, moss, and arcane markings. The central moth rests beneath a winding veil-flame motif, surrounded by natural textures that give the piece the feeling of an artifact recovered from somewhere beyond the waking world.
