Those who approached did so with reverence, for the Portal was never a tool to command the divine. It was an invitation, and one that could be declined.
No audience is granted without an offering.

The vessel beneath the Portal is meant to receive a gift of genuine meaning. A treasured keepsake, a handful of herbs gathered with intention, a whispered vow, or a cherished memory surrendered in spirit. The Ancient Ones have never desired wealth. They measure only the sincerity of what is freely given.

When an offering is accepted, the black glass stirs like still water beneath the moon. Reflections fade, replaced by fleeting visions, forgotten truths, and symbols whose meanings often reveal themselves only with time.

The Ancient Deities rarely answer in words.
They speak through dreams carried into waking, through memories long buried, through signs hidden within the turning of the seasons and the flight of birds overhead. Their wisdom is vast, but never simple, for beings who have watched the world since its first breath perceive time differently than those who walk within it.
